 Solid! Goals

Setting goals often starts with feeling unhappy with something and wanting something different. Working out what you do want is sometimes not easy but it's something that people who are happy and successful in life do on a regular basis.

The Solid! Goals formula helps you set goals that motivate and inspire you to achieve them.

 

1. What is it that you want - make sure you write it down. It must be something positive, achievable and in your control.

 

2.  If you could have this - would you want it? Will this goal impact on anyone or anything else? What will you gain and what will you lose from having this goal? 

 

3. What will you be doing to achieve it - specific actions whether it's talking to others, getting help from other people, research - whatever steps you need to take to achieve your goal.

 

4. What other resources do you need to achieve your goal?

 

5. Be as specific as possible - what, who, when, how - clarify your action plan. 

 

6.What will you see, hear and feel when you have achieved your goal?

 

7. What might stop you achieving your goal?

 

8. What will inspire and motivate you to keep going?

 

9. Now imagine some time in the future when you have achieved your goal? What will you be saying about yourself? What will you think and feel about yourself and your life? How will having achieved this goal have added and enhanced your life?

 

10. Fantastic - now get goal getting!
